RECORD PRODUCER
I’m a songwriter, performer, and record producer with decades of experience working in studios in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Portland.
Over the years, I’ve produced nine of my own album projects, countless demos and home recordings, as well as albums with Tin Compass and The Deck Boys. My productions have been used in national TV and film.
Along the way, I’ve developed a first-hand understanding of what it takes to write a successful song, arrange the vocals and instrumentation, make a professional-level recording, and release records worldwide.
This is what I bring to the table for the artists I work with.
To me, production has less to do with the gear involved and more to do with the song and the performance. The real work is understanding what makes a song compelling, shaping the lyrics and arrangement, choosing instrumentation, developing vocal parts and harmonies, preparing the artist, and guiding the process of turning a song into a great recording.
I work with songwriters who write great songs but have less experience with bringing that song to reality.

I am currently producing an EP for the Portland duo 4Blue at Fremont Recording. I have also produced sessions at Portland-based studios Hallowed Halls, The Rye Room, and Arnold Street Recording. I produced a live album at Artichoke Music.
